Manchester Community Festival 2003
One day last Spring our Evangelism Committee decided they wanted to have a church picnic.  Then, one of the members suggested that we could get the Ohio Bicentennial Bell for our celebration! And then, the pastor added, "but if we get the Ohio Bicentennial Bell, we have to have a real celebration around it, you know, invite the whole community!"  Well, one thing led to another, and pretty soon... well, just look what happened!

Mr. Roy Miller, WWII Veteran, rang the Ohio Bicentennial Bell to begin the Official Ceremony of our Community Festival.

Students from the Manchester High School Marching Band, directed by Mr. Nathan Sensabaugh, led the National Anthem.

Kinds words from Bo-Jo the Clown, and face-painting by Mrs. Adam's Girl Scouts kept even young hearts happy!

These lovely ladies, the Tap Kats, "kicked off" our program!

Oh, weren't they just delightful!

Nothing like a nice shady spot with a hot dog (or pizza) and a root beer to enjoy the afternoon's entertainment!

"Gone Fishin'!" the praise group from Manchester Trinity Chapel, presented a WONDERFUL program of Contemporary Christian favorites! But who is that other lady singing with them? She looks a lot like OUR pastor...! Nah, couldn't be... could it?

We all came out to enjoy the festivities! Someone said, "Do it again next year"? They obviously weren't the ones doing all the work!

Square dancing to the music of Heritage Music Bluegrass Band! These hometown guys are REALLY GOOD! I could listen to them for hours! What a wonderful way to end a perfect afternoon!

Our Manchester Community Festival was so well attended! Even some of our local political leaders attended! Thank you, Franklin Township, for spending the afternoon with us!
